Northern Luzon is usually known as tobacco land and noted for the Spartan industry and thrift of it's inhabitants. Not so well known is the rich treasure of truly Filipino music that has come from this region of the Ilocanos. There have been other recordings of these rare Ilocano songs in the past from Villar Records Int'l but those have not yet started to top fully the great wealth of musical culture of the Ilocos. In this album, the Mabuhay Singers brings you a veritable kaleidoscope of the music of Ilocandia, ranging from the sweet and sentimental to the fun and whimsical.
