One Word Name
Liam is a singer/song writer from San Diego, CA. He is trained as a classical trombone player, but has played guitar since high school. He was in a punk band in 1999 called 'Spare Time'. He then did a solo projet of acoustic/folk music entitled 'scoite'. Then he played a small stint in another punk band named 'man down'. After that, he sought out his rooots, and played trombone in a reggae/pop/funk group named 'shaka buku'. After a three year run with the buku, Liam decided to concentrate on work and stopped playing with groups for a year. He dedicated to his job and then the company he worked for went out of business... That was the spur to start the solo project back up again. This time it needed to be done right... After numerous talks with his good friend David they decided to get in to the studio and start laying it all down. The efforts are the ecletic grouping of songs making up the CD titled 'One Word Name'. Liam plays guitar, bass, drums, and vocals on the album. The point of this album is to be straight-up, honest, and sincere. It is not just of grouping of soft songs, but rather, a collection of heart-felt, catchy, heart-on-your-sleeve ballads... Liam has always used a stage name or moniker in the past. Since one of the main concepts for this project is honesty, he decided to just go by his real name. Thus, you end up with a soft/pop/rock album by 'Liam Williams'... Hope you like it! The hard copy of the album is in a full jewel case with full color graphics on the tray inserts and the CD itself. The tray insert has pictures of Liam's guitars and the hand written lyrics by Liam himself...
