Angel on My Pillow
I believe that country music, including bluegrass and American folk music is a part of our heritage. I intend to do what I can to keep, protect and advance it in whatever way I can. I have been writing and performing this kind of traditional country music for most of my life. I was born and grew up near Beattyville, Kentucky in a small town called Fillmore, and moved to Michigan in early adulthood. My faith in God is unshakable, and my love for my fellow man should be self evident to all of those who know me. I am thankful that I have the ability to create new melodies out of thin air, and write words to go with them. I want to share my songs and my singing with as many people as would come to listen 'Now or after I am gone'. I hope to do three or four CD's a year from this time forward. Thanks to everyone for your nice compliments and support. God bless you. -Red King ____ My Father wrote these words shortly after finishing his first album. I, as his son cannot think of any better words to say about him than the ones he wrote himself. Dad may no longer be with us in body, but he is with us still, in spirit. He was just laying the tracks down for his third album when he was called home on March 1st of this year. We don't know what the future holds as far as further albums of Dad's work are concerned, right now, but we ask for your thoughts and prayers, and that you bear with us in this time of grief and loss. Thank you and God bless. Lenvil King, Jr.
