Chants de Coton
The Ensemble Gospel de Quebec is an entertaining and dynamic group of 20 singers and 4 musicians that will lead you on a journey through the universe of gospel music! As gospel music pioneers in Quebec City, they are experienced performers who regularly take part in a wide range of public, fund-raising and corporate events. These include Quebec City Summer Festival (accompanying Bob Walsh), New France Festival, Divas du Quebec, Challenge Bell, Rimouski en blues, Quebec City Sacred Music Festival, The Tremblant International Blues Festival (opening for the Blind Boys of Alabama) and the Maximum Blues festival in Carleton. Since it's foundation in 1995, the Ensemble has performed many sold-out shows. The group has released it's first album, Chants de coton (cotton songs), in March 2003. This group of performers delivers the inherent message of gospel music in an innovative way. The professional route taken by the Ensemble Gospel de Quebec confirms it's mission to, first and foremost, share the power and beauty of gospel music with the general public!
