All Is Well
Jersey Shore native Laura Crisci is back from Nashville and better than ever! Lots of new songs, a new look and even more spark than before. Crisci's original performances have been backed by many veteran players from the shore including former Springsteen members Danny Federici, Vini Lopez, and Bob Alfano, as well as Bobby Bandiera and Tico Torres from BonJovi. Always fun, intelligent and thought provoking, Crisci's unique style and sound are a breath of fresh ocean air! 'Asbury Park is lucky to have her back.' Lance Larson, Wonder Bar. 'Her tunes are a delicate narrative weave of life's ups and downs, fortified with a ringing acoustic guitar and a thumping backbeat.' Robert Santelli, Asbury Park Press. 'Laura Crisci... is... Well... Sassy, articulate, creative and has more energy than two singers I've heard in quite a while. I caught my foot tapping on more than one occasion and playing a little air guitar too (to be fair... I cranked these tunes through my 8 speaker,1000 watt rehearsal studio sound system!) and if there was gonna be a flaw... no worries...Flawless! 'Broken Ferris Wheel' was an emotional ride... a shared experience, I felt that one. And I did bop down the hall listening to 'I Walk Alone'... Yeah, pretty ugly vision!.. me boppin' looks sort of like Rhino on roller skates!.. But bop I did! I won't belabor this by going song to song. This is a really exceptional effort the songs are fresh and familiar at the same time... I came away feeling like I've had Laura in my iPhone for years. I'm more than pleased she asked for my humble opinion... and to paraphrase my last review .... This girl absolutely DOES NOT SUCK... sorry Mayer she kicked your ass! Oh, kudos to the musicians who played on this CD great textures and tones...nothing over played or gimicky ... very tasty stuff, very tasty indeed.' Linc Davis.
