Endure Hardship: 2 Timothy 2:3
I believe this ENDURE HARDSHIP ministering music endeavor started at the end of 2008 in a classroom. I was teaching and I had a student complaining and asking me why the class had to do a certain assignment. The student's questioning would not relent, before I knew it I had blurted out "it doesn't do any good to keep on complaining (whatever the thing was) it still had to get done!" At that moment I stood still. The student walked away like nothing ever happened and content, but I stood still...because I'd finally got the answer to my many prayers of complaints. God was telling me those exact words. God was right! It didn't do me any good to keep on complaining about whatever it is was I was complaining about because life still had to go on, and I had to keep doing what must be done no matter what. God use this situation to help me understand that I need to change my ATTITUDE and that I did quickly. Immediately, the words of the scripture verse 2 Timothy 2:3 came to me "You therefore must endure hardship, as a good soldier of CHRIST JESUS -WEB (World English Bible)." God was so right! After praying for repentance I heard the words of Ephesians 6:11 in my heart telling me, 'to put on the whole armour of God.' I changed my attitude, my prayer life increased and my fight tactics in training were now against the things in the spiritual realm. These two scriptures constantly guide my life now as I run this Christian race. I've come to understand the important of staying prepared for battle at all times, in and out of all season with a clean heart so that my prayers can still get through to God. It wasn't an easy process, so I say to you all as Timothy (KJV) tells us: Fight the good Fight of FAITH! -Ladonna.
