Be a Light EP
'Every tall building that scrapes the sky must be built on a meticulously plotted foundation. It has to be able to absorb shock, able to be flexible enough to face the breeze, and able to withstand tremendous weight and time. If talent is structure, then character is what lies beneath. If you're looking for both, look no further than Lacey Canfield. Lacey is a dynamic new artist who is poised to take the industry by storm. At just 17, she has a powerful voice and a complementary attitude. A junior at Plymouth MN's Providence Academy, Lacey has already performed at many churches and venues, including a notable a cappella set at the Minnesota State Capital for the 2009 Patriot Day memorial service. Her talent was evident to the production team at Lyntt (headed by Lynn Nichols and Tedd T), whose members have been involved with such artists as Amy Grant, Rebecca St. James, Switchfoot, and Mat Kearney (to name just a few). Lyntt is currently producing a Christmas EP with Lacey, and are in the initial stages of creating her debut album, which is due out in 2011. One thing is clear about Lacey: she is more than just a pretty voice. She is a member of the National Honor Society, has competed in the Minnesota Outstanding Teen competition, and currently manages her brother's varsity basketball team. Her family and her upbringing combine to set a steady footing beneath this young career that is already marked for greatness. But no one understands more clearly than Lacey Who it is that truly lays such a firm Foundation. Lacey's greatest desire is to use the gifts God has given her to build up His name and to help others, not to prop herself up... but the more she reflects that desire through music, the more heads she seems to turn. If you haven't noticed Lacey yet, expect to soon.'
