Heroes Night was conceived of, written in, and performed in New York. A late night, a hangover, a city of millions, but sometimes the loneliest place on earth. This is an album of seasons, of friends and lovers, something to share, something for your own, a valentine and memoir to the city of dreams. With a healthy list of guests including Steve Milton (accordion) and Dave Horowitz (guitar) formerly of The Cloud Room, now of Lavalier, and Roxanne Khamsi on cello, and long time collaborator Brad Thurow on piano/organ, this is an album of new beginnings. At times gentle and cooing, at times indignant and lustful, always with melody and heart. Recorded at the famed Seaside Lounge in Brooklyn, NY (New Pornographers, Beirut) and mixed by Alan Ford (Lavalier, Greg Weeks) at Kampo Studios in NYC, this is a feast for the ears.
