This album is dedicated to my twin brother, Mr. Keith Dean Elliott. Since we took our first breaths together on December 1, 1973, this man has become my hero. He is also the best with a set of traps that any bass player could ask for. I love you "Beef!" My music is what I have lived, past and present. I have always had a passion for hard work and that drove me to telling my life in song. My father, Mr. James Cecil Elliott, was not going to have any part of it and did not want his sons to pursue a life in music. Keith and I both fought against this order and we became closer as brothers through our music- and the fight to keep it in our lives. I write everything that I experience in music. Nothing can beat that feeling of happiness when I am sad, or sadness when I am happy. This makes for a great life lived and memories that become music. Always write your heart's song. There is in it a healing process for us all, and each of us has a different escape. Mine is songwriting. Thank you to each and every one of you who has been in my life: whether happy or sad, you are in these songs. . -Kevin James Elliott.
