Chilling on a Sunday
The newly recorded music consists of a mix of the trio's own tunes and songs as well as newly composed and traditional Celtic tunes. The musical idiom is a little more modern than in the previous CD, 'Reel Irish,'GO0106 but still there is of course a strong link to the traditional Irish folk music. Additionally the band has been inspired by Eastern Europe on a couple of their own compositions. Oisin Walsh - bodhrán & shaker; Rune Cygan Barslund - accordion & whistles; Aske Fuglsang Ruhe - guitar, vocals & mandolin A new feature is guitarist, Aske Ruhe, singing two of his own songs on the album. In addition to the usual instrumentation of accordion, whistles, guitar, bodhrán and shaker, these recordings also have fiddle, double bass and piano, played by the guest musicians Andreas Tophøj, (ZAR, Basco, Trio THG), Nicolaj Wamberg, (FAUK, Pørtners Komplot and Kirstine Sand Band) and Thomas Reil (Circles and Apollo Lounge) in some of the tunes.
