Shield of Faith
About Joseph T Lee Singer/actor Joseph T. Lee hasn't always been involved in the ministry. He spent many years in law enforcement - steadily living his life like any other person. However in 1985, his life would be drastically changed. That year, Lee stared down the barrel of a gun which was being held by a drunk man. The man went on a shooting spree holding a hostage in front of him as a human shield. It was a miracle that no one lost their lives. God was in control and protected us! 'I escaped the whole incident without serious injury,' mentioned Joseph. 'The gun was so close to my face that I had gun powder burns on my cheek and partial hearing loss in my ear.' That moment - a real face to face with death - gave Joseph a new outlook on his life and what his purposes were on this earth. Joseph continued, 'I have had some very close and dangerous events that occured in my life as a law enforcement officer, but God never failed me. He protected me in those dangerous situations.' After leaving law enforcement and entering a new field of work, Joseph eventually answered the call of ministry on his life. A couple years ago, Joseph had to ask himself, 'what have I really done for Jesus?' 'There are opportunities we all have everyday to witness and share the gospel,' recalled Lee. 'In days past, I have not shared my faith as I should have, and I know that I probably do not have a whole life time to serve Jesus now. Time has been wasted. The time is now to serve the master, not tomorrow.' Joseph said, 'What motivates me most about my ministry is that God has given me a gift to share with others through song and testimony. I have this testimony for a reason. It changed my life, and now I hope to change other people's lives through God's gift of grace and mercy.' 'I share the gospel through my singing ministry with hopes that who ever hears the message will come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ,' said Joseph. This new phase of ministry for Joseph has helped him fulfill the lifelong dream of recording a solo record. In 2008, Lee released Shield of Faith, which was produced by critically acclaimed producer Donna M. Beauvais. Shield of Faith features 12 songs. The album showcases new and classic songs - including his radio single 'There's a Miracle Coming', "How Great Thou Art", "He Touched Me", "I Believe In a Hill Called Mount Calvary", "I'll Worship Only at the Feet of Jesus", and more. The debut single from the album, "There's a Miracle Coming", was written by Sandy Bloemer. 'All of these songs have had a deep impact on me,' mentioned Lee. 'I hope that they in turn will touch those who hear them.' When asked about the future of his ministry, Joseph remains optimistic about it's future as long as he stays firmly rooted in Christ and His teachings. Joseph continued, 'I see my ministry exploding into something very good with God getting all the glory. I pray that the annointing will come from God and that whoever hears the messages in song will come to know Jesus. It is that simple. I am in this to do for God what I have not done in days past. ' That spark of commitment has given Joseph a renewed vigor to tell others about the redeeming love of Christ and his unmatchable Grace. Joseph mentioned, 'God has called me to this. I can't back down now.'
