Zuerner, John : Songs for Lucy
John Zuerner, attended as a music major at S.F. State (now University), graduated U.S. Navy School of Music, served in NAS Band Pensacola, FL, where he played in several community musical groups. Continued after tour of duty to play in amateur and professional groups throughout his musical career in California and in Washington State. For the past 19 years, he has lived in Sequim, WA, where he plays lead alto in Stardust Big Band, alto, soprano and bari, in Olyjazz combo, bari and alto in the Olympic Saxophone Quartet, and most recently, tenor, alto and soprano in the Pacific Jazz Quintet, cooperatively led by himself and Don Smaltz, trombonist. The album, 'Songs for Lucy' is dedicated to his wife, Lucy, and for wives in general.
