Ghosts & Legends
Western music is one of the unique types of music that America has produced. The music of John Bergstrom celebrates this heritage and adds to it with his ballads of badmen and heros, legends and events of western history. John decided to become a solo performer just six years ago after several years as a sideman for a variety of music styles. There are now three CDs of traditional cowboy music and his original ballads. One of the first comments about his shows was 'you can almost smell the smoke from the camp fire.' This sensation has been repeated at many venues as fans recall some of their most enjoyable times. Other comments include: ...journey together through the history and landscape of the West through John's original songs. Inspired by real and 'reel' events, Bergstrom takes us from Tombstone to Sedona, from the legend of Black Bart to set of The Shootist, from the travails of overland crossing to ridin' the range in the livingroom. He'll have you in a Western State of Mind before long! ... Bobbi Jean Bell, KHTS Radio and venue manager. Great Songs; Great Show!... Barry Eisen, Radio personality ... his... work... really fascinates and is spellbinding. Lillies Ohlsson "Smalands Country Club SCC-Nytt" Sweden ...I was really curious to what "cowboy music" was and now I realize it's the kind of country I like! I'm not so much in to pop country....I like the good ole stuff like Johnny Cash! I LOVE the guitar in his music! AWESOME! My 8 year old daughter likes it too. She wanted to know if I got his autograph (how cute ? ). Thanks so much! We are really enjoying it!
