Just Like Me
After nearly twenty years as a singer / songwriter Joe is poised to make his run at the 'big time'! Beginning his career as a singer for a rock band in college, Joe quickly fell in love with performing. Joe had been writing songs since high school, but never imagined he would actually be singing them in front of audiences. The songs were more like a journal for Joe. But, after years of prodding from friend Tony 'Rags' Romagna, Joe decided to take a chance and they formed the band Steel City. Adding drummer and college friend, Steve Lyman to the line-up, they went on to play the Pittsburgh, PA music scene. As often is the case, the band went through many changes in it's line-up and finally dissolved. Joe married and moved to Cleveland, OH. While raising a family and working his 'real job', Joe never lost the love of writing songs. But, keeping a band together is very difficult and after several attempts, Joe decided to go solo. Joe learned to pay guitar, purchased a PA system and began singing in local coffee shops, wineries, and bars. The three-hour set consisted of mostly cover songs and a few original songs. For three years, Joe played as many solo gigs as he could find. Finally, after 'paying his dues' for nearly twenty years, Joe is ready to take a shot at commercial success with his debut album 'Just Like Me'. Recorded at Ante Up Audio in Cleveland, OH, 'Just Like Me' is the culmination of this singer/songwriter's work. Special thanks to Jimmy Frysinger, Jimmy Weaver, Michael Seifert, and the rest of the crew at Ante Up Audio for their attention to detail and technical knowledge.
