Rock & Roll Revolution
Joe Benoit is a 27-year-old singer/songwriter based in New York City. A Jersey boy at heart, Joe's music career started at the young age of eight when he began playing the saxophone in his hometown of Middletown, NJ. Joe's development as an artist can be traced back to his 12th birthday when his parents gave him a defining gift - his very first stereo and CD. A little band called Aerosmith sparked something in the young musician. Before long he had his first guitar, and his love affair with rock and roll began. Today, Joe continues to be influenced by the power of Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin, the timelessness and talent of The Beatles and Paul Simon, and the edge of Matthew Sweet and Weezer. Joe's first full-length solo album Rock and Roll Revolution is a collection of tunes that introduces the world to an array of emotions and styles. The music sounds retro at times but also acknowledges the digital age. Joe's music reaches deep and is, at times, intimate while at other moments harsh and lonely. Some of his songs shine in their simplicity. The lyrics of his music are truthful and real, with an honesty that makes the listener believe.
