Product notities

What's up Y'all, Welcome to my page. I appreciate you stopping by. My name is Jeremy Steding and I'm a black sheep. I live in the Live Music Capital of the World, Austin, TX. I play my own brand of music, coined 'Vintage Country Fried in Americana Batter. I grew up in Florida, where the majority of my family still lives. I was raised in Florida, with a short stint in Georgia as a kid. Dad played guitar for us daily growing up, and I was raised to the tunes of Dylan, Cash, CSNY, Hank Sr. and tons more. Dad always dug the hippy folk rock, and I gravitated toward the traditional country side with my singing/playing. Mama kept us all in line. I began playing guitar in college. I liked it. So, I sacrificed all hopes of a normal, decent life, in order to pursue this dream! I started playing bars. I wasn't very good. I got beer thrown at me. I got better. I wrote songs and recorded an album, called Whiskey Songs and Prison Songs. I realized Orlando, FL is not a hotbed of Country and/or Americana Music. I moved to Austin, TX. I heard a lot of great music here and it inspired me. I got better. I started playing Austin bars, I made some great friends. I started playing better bars. I learned about Texas Radio. I sent singles. We printed the album I made in Florida. We sold dozens of copies. I made another album and it did pretty well on Texas Radio, and I made a lot of good friends. I studied the craft, I developed my performance, my writing, my booking etc.. Tiffini Brock joined me in Texas and created a great team. We wrote songs together! The proverbial road got hard. Misfortune seemed abundant. It made me a better writer, and I wrote this album, 'I keep On Livin', but I don't Learn'. I had help - from Tiffini, my band mates and my buddy, Mike Ethan Messick. I thought we'd written some cool things, so I asked a guy I thought seemed really cool if he would produce it. His name is Walt Wilkins. Walt liked the demo CD. He agreed to produce it, and we made this album. I'm very proud of this work and I hope y'all dig it. It may be a bit hard to classify. I live in Texas and play Country Music, but it's not what's traditionally known as Texas Country. It's what I call 'Vintage Country, fried in Americana Batter.' It doesn't necessarily fit the mold. I don't either. I'm a black sheep. Thanks for reading! Have a damn good day. Jeremy.
