Jennilee's debut album 'Apparitions' was released in July of 2006 at Finn's Pub in Winnipeg. 'Apparitions' was recorded at Lews Castle College in the Scottish Hebrides where Jennilee was studying Traditional Scottish Music and Studio Recording. The album features accompaniment by students as well as staff of the College. The track 'The Ghost In The Kitchen' was the inspiration for the albums title. The Ghost In The Kitchen, was composed by Jennilee in 2005 while living in Scotland. The story behind this tune is in fact quite an eerie one. Once upon a time...While living in Claddach Kirkibost, North Uist, Jennilee shared her small upstairs flat with not only her two flatmates, but also a mysterious spirit who plagued them for the better part of a year. Now and then during the wee hours of the night, creaky footsteps could be heard coming from their kitchen, these footsteps were quite often followed by the frightening sound of shattering glass. Occasionally, when feeling rather brave, Jennilee would get up from bed to investigate these noises only to discover the kitchen in disarray and broken drinking glasses in the cupboards. Obviously a situation of this magnitude was deserving of a fiddle tune.
