The songs on 'Cowboy Forever' are taken from three of our previous releases, 'Keeping the West Alive', 'Shootin' the Gap' and 'Me and My Pard'. They are the songs that spurred us on to write more, to sing and to share our love of the west with others who share that same love. These are some our most requested songs from the early days. A multiple award winning artist Jean's music has been referred to as 'the spiritual essence of the west', and she shares her love of western life through songs about the real west of yesterday and today. The heart of her music, however, remains with the women of the west. Jean's rich alto voice graces an interactive music exhibit at the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame and she has been honored by the Texas Legislature for her contribution to the preservation of Texas history through music. In all Jean has ten albums to her credit. One of the top songwriter's in his genre, Gary draws from his youthful experiences on the family ranch as well as day working on South Texas ranches. His songs capture the excitement of gathering wild cattle from the brush, the anguish of 'One Last Request', and his deep rooted love for the cowboy way of life. Gary has recorded three albums, writing almost all of the songs for all three, including 'Fair Blows the Wind', song of the year with the Academy of Western Artists. His songs have been recorded by numerous other artists in the western music genre. Together, Jean and Gary present a balanced and very enjoyable combination of ballads, western swing, lovely waltz's and uniquely haunting songs like 'Comanche Moon' and 'Coyotes'. This album is a favorite of cowboys and cowgirls alike as well as those who love the west! It's a must for every cowboy's truck and for every commuter's car!
