So We're at the End of the Rainbow
In December of 2007 Adam Spry and Kyle Clouse got together to play some tunes, Adam on the guitar and Kyle on the bass. They started to develop a distinctive sound with influences from The Killers and Coldplay among others, until the boys discovered they could make something of their sound. With Spry's creative writing ability and Clouse's energetic bass sounds to build on, they invited Gabe Stein to add his drum talents to the group. David Desmet, a classically trained pianist, rounded out the foursome and the group was complete. All four of the boys were juniors at Sonoma Valley High School when they formed the band. In searching for a name for their band many ideas were bantered about until one day at lunch at the boys' high school while watching the procession of jaywalking teens crossing the main drag to the sandwich shop, the name Jaywalkers seemed to hit the mark. Today The Jaywalkers have more than 30 original songs, many of which can be purchased on iTunes. The group has spent numerous hours at Expression College in Emoryville, CA recording and refining their music. With many live concerts under their belts at such venues as: The Shop, The Phoenix Theater, Sonoma Farmer's Market Theater and Treble @ Bass in Marin you're sure to see this band in even more places in the near future.
