Fantabulous Cumulo-Nimbuli Pump
After a joyful celebration of Dr. Seuss' 107th birthday at The Harley School (where I have been a teacher since 1971), I was inspired to write my own "Seussical" story. Now, most folks complain about the weather. My main character isn't any different. He moans about the rain... and the fog... and the snow. The weather keeps him from his favorite pastime- baseball. But, thanks to the inventive genius of his scientist friend, Dr. Sam, he is given an ingenious machine which can actually alter the weather!-- The Fantabulous Cumulo-Nimbuli Pump! As the old sages will tell you, "Be careful what you wish for. It just might come true!" This story is a striking illustration of that saying, where the main character learns a valuable lesson about life, nature, and the need for balance on this beautiful planet. Dr. Seuss would be proud!
