James Parkington is a singer and songwriter who enjoys making music for the fun of it. Whether it's a western wind blowing in or a sunrise on the big blue horizon, there's a melody to go along with every little adventure. It just keeps changing. The album was recorded in the back room of a house on Dennett Street in Portsmouth, NH. The title comes from the first song 'Downtown', which is a tribute to my daughter during her first year. 'Goldrush' is a tribute to loved ones lost while 'Shipwreck' sums up the major headlines of 2008 and 2009. A couple of songs ('Night At The Great American', 'One Look' and 'Westerly Wind') are older songs from my San Francisco days.
