Make Us One
In John chapter 17, verse 21, Jesus' prayer for the church was . . . . . ". . . that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me." There's a spiritual unity that exists in the church. It crosses borders and goes beyond denominational boundaries - It's based on our mutual faith in Jesus Christ. Nothing can destroy it. But there's a practical unity that can only exist when we meet as one at the foot of the cross, serve each other, love one another and die to ourselves. It causes a lost world to look at the church and truly know that Jesus is alive and dwelling in us - That He is ours and that we are His - That we are one. - James and Rebekah.
