With a sound that echoes the duality of Baltimore's geographic location, the Jagged Hearts straddle the line between the swagger of southern soul and the howl of New York's indie and art rock scenes. They also draw heavily on the great punk and hardcore traditions that laid the groundwork for the new explosion in Baltimore's current scene. The band is comprised of siblings Jeb Stuart and Samantha Lee Johnston on guitar and bass, respectively, and William (Big Billy Holler) Hiler on drums. Rosemary's Daughter is the first release from the Jagged Hearts and was initially intended as a demo, but with the quality of the recording they decided to release it as an EP. Recording was done at Mobtown Studios, run by producer Mat Lefler Schulman of The Seldon Plan, and was completed in one day! A strong attempt to recreate what it is like to see the Jagged Hearts live was made in the studio. By keeping the tracking live, with minimum overdubs, let's the audience feel the energy this three piece creates.
