This is Jack Schauer's fourth CD. It harkens back to his first CD: A Rebel's Soul Volume One, in which his style of folk-rock was not only reminicent of Pete Seeger, Gordon Lightfoot and Phil Och's but also the folk rock of the 1960s and 1970s in the style of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, and later Dan Fogelberg as well as James Taylor. This CD, 'The Quest' is meant to capture the artist's current spiritual journey, and his identification with the world teacher Maitreya and the quest for ending poverty as well as war in the Third World. Jack Schauer was born on June 2, 1955 at Harvey, North Dakota, a small town in central North Dakota. During his high-school years he played lead guitar in a local band entitled 'The GrapeVine 5,' which performed mostly classic rock songs of that period encompassing the late 1960s and early 1970s. Jack Schauer has two Master's degrees: one, a Master of Liberal Arts from MSUM (e.g. Moorhead, Minnesota) and the second one; a Master of Science degree in Nonprofit Management. He is President of Angels Of The Muse, a nonprofit organization whose performers play for underserved audiences throughout the FM community. He has also self-published three books: 'The Outsiders,' 'Politics In Compassion,' and 'The Trials Of Sisyphus.' He works as a mental health casework in Fargo-Moorhead (North Dakota/Minnesota).
