Things on My Mind EP PT. 1
In a city known for producing phenomenal talent, James Tait, who goes by the moniker J Tait was born, seemingly infused with the very same passion that ignited the spark created by such greats as The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, The Four Tops, Jackson Five, and the Supremes. It is not mere coincidence that these names are also influences, it's just the effect of the trend where an entertainer wants his name to be synonymous with that of who paved the way for his own passion. In this day in age, that classical music has faded, or perhaps aged like a fine wine waiting to be sampled in the coming years. Those years are upon us, for someone has the talent and love to redefine the times and fuse together a long ago melody with a newfound beat. J Tait has done exactly this. What he has done, is transformed the classics into something that our listeners of this era can relate to. They can relate to the words, vibe to the cool beats, recognize the scenarios as if they were taken from their own lives. What he has done is crafted a hip hop sound with a touch of classic magic. A veteran in front an audience, and a maestro with a microphone, he has lent his background assistance to Grammy Nominated artist Dwele and Muilti-Platinum artist Carl Thomas. He has also shared the stage with countless well known and well loved artists, including Snoop Dogg, Pharell Williams, Nate Dogg, Tommy Lee, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly,The Whispers, Shirley Caeser, J Moss, Jill Scott,Brian McKnight, Al Green and Floetry to name a few. Also, along with the title of dedicated and accomplished singer, he has dabbled in songwriting as well, writing and arranging over fifty hooks for rappers around the Detroit area. Leo Buscaglia has said, Life is a paradise for those who love many things with a passion. This is a young man with a love for what he does, who eats, sleeps, and dreams about this. Standing ovations follow him wherever he goes, as does compliments for being such a gentlemen and all around nice person. If love for something had a human being for a definition, J Tait and his love for music would fit it appropriately. Ladies and gentlemen, whomever this reaches, you have yourself passion, love, desire, hardwork, dedication, and happiness that can't be written or put into words or lyrics, it comes straight from his heart and soul.
