This album is the first of five albums recorded in Canada by the Ray Richardson group. Ray sang with Charlie Fuquas Ink Spots, and when Fuqua died in 1974, Ray became leader and moved his group to Toronto. After living in Ontario a few years, the spots moved out west to Winnipeg. Three albums were recorded in Winnipeg Studios. Five years of Manitoba cold weather sent the frozen Spots back to Toronto, where they recorded Album number five. The best of the Canadian Ink Spots is actually the best songs of the first four albums all together in album number five.
