Voices of the Levites
The instruments were designed and built by Ilan Green, a long standing musician (The Tractor's revenge, Duralex sedlex, Krechtz) and instrument builder, which had founded and runs the New Music Department at the Musrara-Naggar School of Art in Jerusalem. He created 16 instruments from his imagination, since those instruments were lost during the destruction of the Temples. During the process, new music has been written to texts from the Bible and other scripts from that era, and another 3 musicians have joined Green in his exploration. Together they created a performance telling the story of these instruments, and introducing pictures, situations and ceremonies from the times where those instruments were played.
