Beware the Hunter
1 year, 1 month, 1 set of guitar strings and about 10,000 hard packed espresso coffees later, Brisbane artist and self-confessed caffeine addict, Howling Rabbits, release this debut album 'Beware the Hunter'. Recorded in a delapidated house, lost in suburbia, with only the simplest of recording equipment over the course of a year, offers this album the dark, retro/garage feel that is distantly comparable to the likes of Portishead, Nick Cave and Radiohead. Drawing on lo-fi sounds from 60's psychedelica and soul music with a modern indie/alternative twist, are only the catalysts for which this nightscape is fueled. Little Red Riding Hood, Houdini, twisted love and myriad of sinful suburban secrets, are characters and chapters invited to complete overall tone for this album.
