Song for the Motherland
Groovline's debut album, Song for the Motherland, was recorded and mixed by Dan Schnapp (B-3 organ) and Ross Brooks (guitar) in Brooklyn, New York. And it sounds like it too. Gritty and sophisticated, the group mirrors the fast-moving intensity of the city, but reaches back to classic soul and organ jazz and funk influences to breathe some new life into standards. The record also features three modern smokin' originals by Schnapp and one by Brooks.
