The CD was written for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan - approximately 2,000 of these CD's have been sent there through the USO. With so many emotional issues with extended duties overseas, the songs were written in sympathy with the soldier's perspective, and the songs are neither pro-war nor anti-war. The first half of the CD includes themes common here in the US - issues of love and even tragedy - to reflect the civilian's life here at home. When the civilian is called to serve in a war zone, the CD's theme changes to reflect the concerns of the departing soldier as well as the soldier in combat. As can be imagined when faced with your own mortality, at times the emotional tone of the CD can change rapidly: upbeat to reflective, confident to anxious, loud to quiet, etc. Taken as a whole, this concept album attempts to reflect the sudden change - "Everything Changes - in a person's life who suddenly finds him or herself in a dangerous situation. I hope you enjoy it!
