Garrett Gue is a writer and performer of progressive, acoustic guitar-driven songs. His refreshingly honest lyrics and instantly lovable melodies have garnered an explosive fan base since his first release (Tall Drink O' Water) in 2008. Here is what people are saying about it... He instantly fell in love with the instrument and played until his fingers and anyone within earshot couldn't survive another note-- then he played some more. He quickly began to explore other instruments- bass, banjo, lap steel, and spent most of high-school and college traveling with local bands in his homestate of Montana. In 2008, Garrett decided to get in the studio with Chris Cunningham of the critically acclaimed folk duo, Storyhill, to record and release his first solo album, 'Tall Drink O' Water.' His music quickly became popular on Satellite Radio and various radio stations across the country, which prompted him to continue in this musical direction. He now lives in Seattle where he continues to write and perform regularly for eager crowds with his beloved band, which includes his fiance, Tazlyn Fischer. In November of 2010, Garrett was nominated for the SiriusXM Singer-Songwriter Discovery of the Year Award. Garrett is now finishing another album with Chris Cunningham that features himself on vocals, acoustic guitar, lap steel, banjo, electric bass, and upright bass. The album additionally features Tazlyn Fischer on vocals and James McAlister (Sufjan Stevens, David Bazan) on drums.
