What's Written in the Stars
'What's Written in the Stars' is the debut album by American rock band, Frontage Road. Already highly regarded by fans and critics alike, the album illustrates Frontage Road's diversity, ability, and great musical ability. In it's diverse musical styles, passionate vocals, and thoughtful lyrics, the album is a riveting listen for people of all ages and tastes. Frontage Road formed in Evansville, IN in 2009. Brothers Paul (vocals/keyboards) and Craig Schutz (guitar), bassist Nick Wildeman, drummer Jamie Morris, and vocalists Maria Morris and Ashley Halbig joined forces primarily as a cover band before beginning this album, their first major studio project. Songwriter-lyricist Paul Schutz, a classically-trained pianist, vocalist, and composer, cites both rock and classical music and influences for the music on this album, which he wrote and took to the band, who developed the original songs into their finals forms. This album is evidence of Frontage Road's great ability to fuse various styles into a cohesive, compelling whole. In addition, both Schutzes, Wildeman, and Morris display tremendous musicality in their electrifying playing and singing throughout the album, supported by live vocals (provided by Halbig and Morris), strings, brass, and more.
