Flavour of the Weak
Double vinyl LP pressing of this 1997 album. Front Line Assembly followed-up Hard Wired in 1997 with (FLA)vour Of The Weak, a sample-laden record that spawned two singles and remixes from the likes of Tim Schuldt and Eat Static. The album was a departure from FLA's previous sound, incorporating elements of drum 'n' bass, techno, and IDM into a very fresh take on industrial that would prove influential and before it's time. Front Line Assembly is a Canadian electro-industrial band formed by Bill Leeb in 1986 after leaving Skinny Puppy. Influenced by early electronic and (post-)industrial acts such as Cabaret Voltaire, Portion Control, D.A.F., Test Dept, SPK, and Severed Heads, FLA has developed its own unique sound while combining elements of electronic body music (EBM).
