Jennings Road Chronicles 1
The Foothills are an independent band based in Portland, Oregon. Their debut album, Jennings Road Chronicles Vol. 1 (2010) was inspired by the culture and music of Trout Lake, WA in a hidden corner of the Columbia Gorge. Rooted in Americana and bluegrass, The Foothills evolve and span genres with a slightly spacey alt-country edge driven by harmony vocals, interwoven acoustic & electric guitars, mandolin, fiddle, piano and a driving rhythm section. Jennings Road Chronicles Vol. 2 was released in 2014 and features 10 up-tempo songs with three part harmonies featured throughout. This release includes guest appearances by Japanese rock veteran Takashi O'Hashi and Zack Lovas, fiddle player with Left Coast Country. Prior to forming The Foothills, band members Abe Cohen, Mateo Bevington and Chris Buehler played in the Portland-based indie rock band Maggie's Choice from 2002 to 2007. During this time, Maggie's Choice released 3 independent albums with positive reviews.
