Dream Life is the 5th release from Texas based band Fingerprints. The band has managed to play it's way to the top of the heap among bands in North Texas and beyond. This is evidenced by their steadfast popularity and repeat invitations to the region's premier events. The band has performed at concerts and festivals throughout TX, LA, OK, KS, FL, TN and even UT. Led by bassist, Frederick Nichelson, Fingerprints'style is not easily categorized. "We started out trying to be the next "Spryo Gyro" or "Crusaders", but evolution has taken us far beyond that style", says Nichelson. "As we began to write and perform our own music, our love for soul, blues, and jazz all blended together." Now the bands shows & recordings display a seasoned mix of many styles. Their goal is convey emotion and energy in whatever they play. It could be an original or an obscure cover, as long as it sends the right message to the listener. Fingerprints'sound is also shaped by it's long term members Claud Hardrick (sax, flute, vocals), Tim Jones (lead vocals, perc.), Kennan Wylie (drums, percussion), Jordache Grant (keyboards), and guitarist Robert Lacroix. The bands four previous CDs continue to sell thousands of copies and downloads. They feature many special guests including Roy Machado, Shelley Carrol, Toni Redd, Brad Leali, Ardina Lockhart, Marion Meadows, and Kyle Turner. Their 5th release entitled "Dream Life" was released in 2009 on the all new South Memphis Music Label. It has some new surprises including Bernard Wright, Rodney Engelbosch, Mark Harper and more. The first single is the title song from a recent documentary called "I am a Man". The song has been getting a lot of attention from it's debut screenings in selected cities. Fingerprints'sound is for those craving more than formulaic smooth jazz. This band has a catchy brand along with some of the grittiest, most soulful covers you will find. Take a listen and you will hear what the southwestern U.S. has kept secret for way long time.
