Best described as passionate, unique and well polished... FTI's musical core is formed around an ambient alt-rock sound, infused with the synth hooks of mainstream pop. In the likes of such artists as Switchfoot, 30 seconds to Mars and Jimmy Eats World; Fighting the Influence is a band with a bright future. In addition to opening up for T&N artists such as 'The Almost' and 'Thousand Foot Krutch', FTI has been featured on 20+ college and local radio stations around the country including 95.5 WBRU (Providence, RI), 91.5 WUML (Lowell, MA), RadioSNHU (Manchester, New Hampshire), 90.3 WAFG (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) & 91.7 WKDU (Philadelphia, PA). Fighting the Influence's newest project is 'Come Alive', a full length/concept album. The album features 10 new tracks and is set to be released in Spring of 2011. 'Come Alive' captures the true essence of what FTI is all about. What sets Fighting the Influence apart from other bands is their reason for playing music. FTI reminds us that our lives and decisions have worth and purpose. Their songs challenge us to rise above the negative influences in today's society, and to pursue our dreams with hope and love.
