I Am a Child of God
The meaning of the song writings: When the intro was created, God wanted to share the fact that Kingdom living was already decided. The way the believers are to operate has nothing to do with what we as a people think it will be. My thinking almost caused me to not make the best decision that I could have ever made. If no one is perfect in the world and once you get saved it is realized that no one is perfect; which side would you rather be on? Good question, right? Stop thinking that people who have accepted Christ Jesus will be a certain way; the truth of the matter is once you except Jesus Christ, there is more to it. One must now learn and be taught how to operate in Kingdom principles. In no kingdom or palace will you hear a bunch of cursing and bad ridicule, and in this Kingdom the same applies. Learning to operate in Kingdom principles and applying them to our life takes time. God has given us Repentance to help along the journey; there is forgiveness and just outright teachings in the word of God that will help us. Teaching such as: If you are persecuted for righteousness sake then rejoice, you are heaven bound (Matt 5:10); think on these things that are pure, honest and of a good report, etc... (Philippians 4:8); and Cast down imagination and every high thing... (2 Cor. 10:5). We do not have to be perfect; we must line up with the word of God and the word declares that we can be perfect with the Lord. (Deut 18:13; 1 King 8:61; John 17:23 and Hebrew 13:21). I am A Child of God is a song that helped deliver me during the time folks were saying things about me that was so untrue. Here it is, I am saved and going through a divorce and folks were talking about things they really did not know the truth about. Another situation was my daughter was diagnosed with cancer and folks were talking again about what they did not know; do you know what I mean? Been through something similar? God gave me this song and it would minister to me during these times, and the Holy Spirit let me know that I needed to understand that I AM A CHILD OF GOD and if what people were saying, was not in line with what God said about me; then they needed to: Keep their labels; don't want their titles let me live my life with God as my guider!!!!! This song is not meant for believer's to not hear there leaders and be rebellious. I bind rebellion in the Name of Jesus Christ and loose Obedience to God and those in authority over you. Leadership is in place for a reason. The five fold ministry (Pastors, Teachers, Evangelists, Prophets and Apostles) is to equip the saints; read Ephesians 4:11-12. My foundation in my Christian walk has been solid. Pastor Jonathan Ingram instills a very profound message when he proclaims: Only what you do for Christ will last! Well, I do not want my labor to be in-vain, so I have definitely kept the statement in mind while making decisions throughout my life. Thank you Dr. Jonathan Ingram and Mother Delores Ingram for being faithful to God and the teachings at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. I love you! I can tell some of the others another time; meanwhile, feast on these, Thanks for visiting and God Bless!
