Windows Through An August Mind
The second album by Facts Aktor & The Analysis is a more than worthy followup to the excellent debut CD 'Divisions In The Soil'. A bit more driving and compact than the first, it once again features witty and thought provoking lyrics with catchy hooks. The subject matter ranges from night women to a sarcastic view of the college life to the perils of being caught up in the maze of crass commercialism. However, personal sides come forward also such as in the poppy radio friendly track 'Forever' which is about Fact's young daughter; '(No More) Thoughts Of Homicide' and 'Bad Master' which take on topics such as racism and prejudice and face them squarely; and the majestic closing track 'Cruel' which although it would probably fall into the 'power ballad' category, is absolutely infectious and probably Fact's strongest track to date. Once again, all of the 10 songs are originals and were recorded at the same studio as the debut.
