BAND NAME: Face Down in High Water ACRONYM: (F D H 2 O) ALBUM NOTES: -Recorded and mixed at Midtown Recording in Erie, PA by Randy Hetherington. -It is the band's first studio album. (2007-2009) BIOGRAPHY: FDH2O is an award-winning 6-piece rock band based in Corry, Pennsylvania, USA. With almost a decade of solid experience the band has the ability to showcase a powerful display of onstage emotion. FDH2O covers a variety of rock music including classic rock and current rock. FDH2O also includes their favorite original songs in their sets. The band performs in the Pennsylvania and New York state regions, but have also traveled for shows in Myrtle Beach, Virginia Beach, and Tampa, Florida. AWARDS: FDH2O was chosen by Pat Monahan from Train for Erie's Song of the Year Award in 2009. FDH2O won the 2009 Battle of the Bands at the Erie Wattsburg County Fairgrounds in 2009. The band also placed third overall in Erie PA's Sherlock's/Budweiser 2004 battle of the bands. They have took first place in the preliminary round of the Emergenza National Music Competition in Pittsburgh, PA and third place in the semi-final round. FDH2O has showcased for 3 major record labels (Virgin, TVT and Koch) at the Hard Rock Cafe in Cleveland, OH. FESTIVAL: FDH2O hosts their own annual concert, the Cutting Music Festival, featuring some of the tri-state's best groups. Paul's ranges 4 octaves. (front-man, charismatic, talented, entertaining, energetic, powerful vocals) BASS GUITAR / BACKING VOCALS Matt Downey Matt is known for his on-stage intensity, prominant backing vocals and charismatic personality. (driving basslines, great stage presence, lots of energy, prominant backing vocals, in-sych harmonies) LEAD GUITAR, BACKING VOCALS Dave Downey Dave uses a spectrum of guitar sounds, digital delays and effects, clean chords counteracted by high distortions. He is a talented and dedicated artist. He has earned his Bachelor's degree in Music Business at the SUNY Fredonia school of music. style: alternative rock, melodramatic, modern blues-rock DRUMS Dave Keem Dave brings an upbeat level of energy to the stage. His good musicianship goes hand in hand with his good showmanship. style: jazz/blues/rock KEYBOARD / BACKING VOCALS Kevin Downey Kevin brings a full sound to the mix. Kevin is a very talented and seasoned vocalist who has studied vocals at St. John's University in NYC. There, he sang with the Voices of Victory soul chior.
