In Three Days
In the vein of Dave Matthews and Dan Mangan, with a little bit of pop flair of Blink 182 and Fall Out Boy. Eyeswide is based around an acoustic guitar and a suitcase. It is minimilist acoustic rock at it's best. The writing is provocative and edgy, a window into one man's observations of life. Adding to his strong musical performance, Neil has a stage presence that dominates, luring the captive attention of an audience tempted by his hard pounding rhythms and the melodious sanctity of his slower lyrical songs. Neil began Eyeswide by playing local open mic's in Barrie, ON. One of the few musicians to go play original music at these particular shows. After a year of writing and practicing. Neil took Eyeswide to various showcases in Toronto, playing amazing venues such as The Opera House, and The Reverb. Eyeswide began getting notice resulting in offers to play shows,as part of Festivals, for charity, and opening for other musicians, around Ontario. Now a year and a half in Eyeswide has been in Festivals such as The Earth Hour, The M.E.A.N.Y Fest in New York and The New Music Fest whose line up included The Trews and Big Sugar! With the release of Eyeswide's 2010 full length Album In Three Days Neil has been hitting the road around Ontario, New York and the United Kingdom getting the the music out in the world the best way possible, playing live shows and getting to know the audience.
