Elly Maze 2
Elly Maze Vol. II is an eclectic blend of originals along with suprising and obscure covers by some of The Elly Maze's favorite singer/songwriters. From 'Somewhere South of Macon' to 'Indiana Moon' each song is a story told as only The Elly Maze can do. The Elly Maze reach back and find great songs most likely forgotten on the B-Side of your brothers scratched-up LP's, dust them off, shake them out and give them the attention they deserve. Songs like 'Home To You' by Peter Rowan (from his Seatrain days) and 'Sign of A Desperate Man' by Eric Andersen are just as meaningful today as they were when they were written. In between the covers are great originals like 'Redemption' which reminds us that sometimes '...the best we can do is to choose one of the lesser sins' and 'Indiana Moon', an expression of sentimental love that everyone can relate to. Elly Maze Vol. II is a simple yet creatively brilliant production for anyone who appreciates good music and the art of music. An album that blurs the line between the genres of Americana, Country, Folk, Bluegrass and their sub-categories, there is a little something for everyone.
