These past five years Dwight has recorded more than sixty ballads and rhythm tunes well-suited to his bass-baritone voice. "Hello Again, The Best Of Dwight Townsend" is exactly that. He is greatly indebted to his arranger/conductor, Don Zimmers, who took Ron DiIulio's original charts, and made them soar, sometimes in full symphonic mode, others in a more intimate rhythm style. Both Don and Phil York have been with him not only as musical artists but as friends, inspiring Dwight when he needed friendly advice or when he needed a good kick in the pants. Dwight dedicates "Hello Again..." to his daughter, Lesley Townsend, who makes him proud each and every day by her various talents, beauty and intelligence, but most of all for her sense of values; and to his wife, Carmen, his enamorata, who makes each day a joy, and the future a delicious amalgam of hope, passion, optimism and fulfillment. May he never give her cause to change the lenses of those rose-colored lenses through which she sees him.
