Acoustic duo Drive-by Confession spent two years writing and recording their debut CD 'Hotel Coffee', which was released in mid 2010. John Lamirande's captivating guitar licks and Holly Wood's sonorous harmony are two trademarks of the Drive-by Confession sound, along with Holly's soulful vocals and the duo's witty lyrics. Both have had extensive careers in the music business as military musicians, and have traveled the United States many times over as touring musicians. Holly is a native of North Dakota. A classically trained musician, she recently ended her military career after ten years of service to stay home and raise a family. Not wanting to end her affair with music, Holly picked up a guitar and began a new musical adventure as a singer/songwriter. John is from upstate New York. He is a self-taught musician and is fluent on guitar, bass, drums and piano. He currently serves as a live and studio audio engineer. John has also enjoyed mild success as a song writer, as a winner of the Military Idol Songwriting Competition. Both John and Holly are married with families. On a shoestring budget and an hour at a time, they recorded and produced 'Hotel Coffee' in their home studios and in hotel rooms across the country. 'Hotel Coffee' is at times highly personal and contemplative, other times tongue-in-cheek, with topics ranging from the fears of parenthood to the search for the perfect cup of coffee.
