Hold Me When It Rains
I have spent many years developing my 'style' of music. A friend of mine told me once that musicians in nearby Austin, Texas would not 'respect ' me if I did not write some of my own songs. After meeting some of my contemporary peers, I came to realize that my station in life working as an ER physician gave me a wide variety of experiences and emotions from which to write. Life has been busy for me and songs I have written have come into fruition more as a result of inspiration rather than from perspiration. I have always aspired to write songs that make a person feel good: more upbeat, not so much dark. I am a doctor, what can I say? I offer what I feel is good and healing. If there is a flavor that could be cast on this project, I would mention that the word 'Love' is used 53 times in the course of the 12 songs. Now I ask, who can have too much love?
