Moving in New Directions (M.I.N.D.)
Distract-Ion, a.k.a. Brian Harmatz, is part of the next generation of up and coming hip hop artists. Coming with innovative artistry and an energy that many music consumers search for. His debut album is titled "Moving In New Directions (M.I.N.D.)," and is the flagship album of First Class Records (also owned and operated by Distract-Ion). With 14 tracks, all produced by Sick String, the album also features guest appearances from fellow emcee Cashmiro and singer eminent. Ruth. The key to Distract-Ion's music is pushing the envelope and stepping outside the box of what people expect to hear, and breaking down that barrier with a very strong passion. Writing since his teenage years, Distract's rhyme structure is unequivocal in the hip hop scene. His writing style has become so diverse, that he's able to deliver on some tracks with intense abstract expressionism, giving the listener an opportunity to interpret lyrics from different perspectives. And on other tracks he becomes incredibly direct and precise with his message. "Moving In New Directions (M.I.N.D.)" is just the first step. Distract certainly has found his calling, as he is now harnessing all his strength, determination, and work ethic to make an impact in the hip hop industry. Not just in the studio, but as an entrepreneur as well. Enjoy the album and stay tuned for more Distract-Ion music and future collaborations coming your way in 2011!
