Poetry of Life
Deacon Emil is an ordained Catholic Permanent Deacon of the Diocese of Arlington and has been in active pastoral ministry for twenty-five years. He has been a serious student of scripture and the spiritual life for more than twice that long. Part of his relationship with God is poetic creativity. In an aerospace reconnaissance career with three major corporations and then with the government for over forty years, he retired from CIA in 2000. Son, Matthew, is a free-spirit musical artist who operates a successful recording studio in Atlanta. He is a professional percussionist, a natural with the American Indian flute and skilled with computer-generated music. This father and son team worked together for three years to produce this remarkable poetry and music exploration of the inner life. To listen is not only to be entertained at the soul level, but also to invite the listener into deeper encounter with the spiritual dimension and the power of the Christ.
