Broke Down in Middleburg
Only the second CD I've managed to get together in a long life of musical misery, this one is my latest and possibly greatest work to date. The reason being some of the truly great musicians I somehow coerced into playing and singing on it. I've got producer Jim (my) DeVito on bass and lots of guitars. There's Gunga Din's Robert Sterzinger, the 'King of Tiny Instruments.' on mandolin, accordion and...ahem...bagpipes. Stan Lynch, the original drummer for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, was kind enough to come in and play drums on three of the songs. The mighty Chris Galipeau drums on the rest. Rock on my brutha. Terry Nails, who has played with Ozzy ferchrissake, plays bass on 'Maja is a Metalhead.' Kevin Breslin, longtime veteran of the great Irish band Energy Orchard plays multiple keyboards. St. Augustine songwriting great Elizabeth Roth helps out with some of the (better) singing. So you see, that's the secret of my success; Good people, good players. Good times.
