Under That Big Blue Sky
'Under That Big Blue Sky' is about trying to find love in a world seamingly void of it, the need for help from angels, living alone on the road, unfullfilling relationships, longing for more time in this ratrace world, fond memories of true love and hopeful thoughts of the future brought by each new sunrise. The music is a guitar based blend of folk, rock, blues and country surrounded with bass, lead guitars, drums, strings, organs and sythns. For some the journey has been longer and some shorter. For me it started as a baby laying on the front pew of our local church as my mom played the piano. Dad showed me some chords on the guitar and music took hold. Throughout my childhood I would drag a guitar to any occasion that would allow it. After dropping out of college, I went back to playing my guitar on a stool in any dive that would pay. After living in four states, traveling most of the 48, and having 35 odd jobs in 25 years, I finally finished this album after getting fired. Go figure.
