My music has always come from the people and events that happen around me. From a moon over Kentucky, to a movie about child abuse, to the eyes of a loving child, and to a unexpected divorce. I also write feel good songs about real or imagined events that I have or would have liked to experience. The creation of this album has been a 'Dream come true' for me. To realize this dream, it took a team of very talented people. First I would like to thank David Milko, a dear friend and co-conspirator for many years. Without whom there would be no 'Seeking Asylum'. Ted Sikes, who started this musical journey with me since day one. Has has been my built-in quality controller to ensure we created the best album we could. A job well done, thank you my friend. Say hello to Phil, Geoff & George for me! Thank you Mom and Dad for your love and support and for always being there. The artist must have his Muse, so a heartfelt thanks to my beautiful daughters, Kelly, Jami, and Savannah. To my daughter, Lexi, who loves 'Love Can Guide', she gets it! And a shout out to Justin (It's Not Rap, But It's Right). To Tom Alte for helping in 'To Have And To Hold'have those soulful horns. I would also like to thank all the people thru the years who have believed in my songs. I still have people ask to hear 'Cruisin Thru Boston', 'Matties', 'Wild West Show', and so many more. I truly hope you will enjoy 'Seeking Asylum' and I promise to include some of your requests on my next venture. Finally I dedicate this work to Karen Johnson Pooler. The woman who has been beside me every step of the way. You have been my Muse and my confidant. Thank you for sharing this musical adventure of a lifetime with me. I Love you - David Pooler Thank you for reading this, David Pooler.
