Coventry born and bred Dave Loughran has been the most difficult person you'll ever try to pin down Genre-wise. From rock to pop to folk, with shades of jazz and flourishes of blues he crosses all divides with impunity. On first listen, early comparisons to the emotive vocals of David Gray on tracks such as 'Example' give way to the more obvious and powerful influence of acts like Gomez upon listening to tracks such as 'Three People'. 'God's Letter' is slightly reminiscent of classic Tracy Chapman, and 'The Same Old Love Song' hints of Athlete's quirky and diverse production style. With inspiration taken from bands and acts like Metallica, Robbie Williams, Eva Cassidy and Pink Floyd, the mix is more than eclectic enough to ensnare even the most cynical of music fans and keep them coming back for more.
